Default Assignment Owner (resource field)
I need to change the assignment owner of a bunch of tasks from one assignment owner to another, but the assignment owner assignment owner is grayed out. The assignments in question are local resources. The previous owner is a resource ID being removed from the system, but is still active until we project 2010 remove everything.
Assignment owner to-be owner is the /somebody-help-me-my-science-homework-are-killing.html manager. If I add an "assignment owner" column to a task view, those specific to the local resources are grayed out and cannot be changed.

So no change can be made there. I made one of the local resources an enterprise resource all of these should have project 2010 added as enterprise. I used the "replace" function to replace the project 2010 assignment owner with the enterprise resource by the same name.
Same problem with the assignment owner column in a task view. I would click the dropdown for the project 2010 assignment owner, then the "resource owner" field would blank out. Project 2010 assignment owner I could not enter anything assignment owner that field.
At this point, I did not save the task changes, nor did I save the project for fear of ruining it. It belongs to a project manager.

Thanks, Mac Hart Software Engineer. Local resources do not use PWA to report progress, thus, the Assignment Owner field cannot be edited.

The only way I can see to solve the problem is to assign a resource to each affected task, and then delete the resource and manually update the task to undo whatever changes may occur as a result. At this point, the user who is doing this "fixing" becomes the new Assignment Owner.
