Scott Blackwood is the author of two novels, a story collection, and two narrative nonfiction books. Blackwood's narrative piece "Here We Are" was a finalist for the National Magazine Award for best feature writing and the first volume of his two narrative books on early jazz and blues figures, Rise and Fall of Paramount Records , was nominated for a Grammy Award for writing on music. He's especially interested in the contemporary and experimental novel, placed-based writing, and narrative nonfiction.
